This neoclassic pattern is based on a fused silver plate set made around 1810 in Sheffield or Birmingham, England, now in the Colonial Williamsburg collections. The design is based on a classical reeded column. Revivals of ancient Greek and Roman designs were all the rage in the early 19th century. Made of 18/10 stainless steel.
